Sponsor our Annual Event on May 15th

Dear Friends:

Please mark your calendar for Thursday, May 15, 2008 for the Stonewall Democratic Club of New York City’s 22nd Anniversary Celebration. As you know, last year the New York State Assembly historically passed the same-sex marriage bill. As our attention now turns to the State Senate, this year we are honoring the heroic Democratic Senators from New York City who are sponsors of the same sex marriage bill. We want to publicly thank these Senators for their loyalty, friendship and dedication to the LGBT Community—They have been there for us and we want to be there for them. We are hopeful that after this year’s election we will have a Democratic majority in the Senate and enough votes to pass the bill for Governor Paterson’s signature.

This year we are having another one of our legendary cocktail party receptions, with top-shelf open bar, lots of food and a very few speeches, at Hill Country, 30 West 26th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues), Manhattan, from 6:00 – 8:30 P.M. Our honorees this year are:

  • Senator Toby Ann Stavisky (Queens).

We hope that you will join us at the event as a Benefactor ($500), Patron ($250) or Sponsor ($175). If you do, your name will be included in our invitation and program. (Regular tickets are $125.) As you know from our last several events, this party will be a blast and will be attended by all the movers and shakers in LGBT politics and our straight allies. Your kind contributions will help us to support our candidates and to continue our fight for full equality.
